When using the P/C dat with clrmamepro, it shows:
Sunman (Europe) (Proto) [folder: Superman - size: 256kb]
unneeded file: E:\parent-clone\nintendo\nes\Superman\Superman (Japan).nes [not fixed]
unneeded file: E:\parent-clone\nintendo\nes\Superman\Superman (USA).nes [not fixed]
-------------------
Superman (USA) [folder: Superman - size: 256kb]
unneeded file: E:\parent-clone\nintendo\nes\Superman\Sunman (Europe) (Proto).nes [not fixed]
unneeded file: E:\parent-clone\nintendo\nes\Superman\Superman (USA) (Proto).nes [not fixed]

If I remove these games, then I get an error saying these ROMs are missing. Is there an in the P/C? clrmamepro? Me?

You are operating CMPro in Merged Mode and using a region preference where USA > EUR/JPN.

Under this circumstances CMPro is trying to create 2 "Superman.zip" archives with different contents, so there is an archive name conflict.

The problem is in the P/C XML DAT. I think that the following ROM is probably a clone of "Superman (USA)", and not a clone of "Sunman (Europe) (Proto)", as currently in database:

Superman (USA) (Proto)

Otherwise, the above should be renamed so the untagged title (used as archive filename when merging) is unique.

Please wait for the system/NES P/C maintainer to fix it.

Superman is a different game than Superman (Proto). Sunman and Superman protos are the same game. Yes, like Tetris and others I will have to rename it somehow.

From my web research (wikipedia / lost levels), it appears that the official NES Superman game was published by Kemco, while the prototype was published by SunSoft. Perhaps the prototype could be Superman (SunSoft) (USA) (Proto)?
