I was going through my No-Intro NES games and building an Excel sheet of various piece of information, and I'm a little confused about 1943: Battle of Valhalla. Was this the same game as 1943: Battle of Midway, only for the Famicom? I see there's a 1943: Battle of Midway for Japan, but it's tagged with (Beta).

It could be wrong naming.

Looks likes 'Midway' for USA and 'Valhalla' for JAP. I haven't emulated the ROMs to verify though.

Valhalla is written on the japanese box

The Midway version is indeed a beta released by skrybe. http://www.skrybe.net/old/index.html

I suppose I should have assumed that anything marked (Beta) wasn't really released.

Is there somewhere I can find commentary or information behind the beta (or any other) dumps? It'd be interesting to read.
