"Arctic Adventure" is part of the name, at least in the Australian version. Any way it could be added?

IIRC this title was explicitly revised to current one by maintainer. Game comes from Asia. AUS boxart is more like localized artwork then. I think that keeping current title is the correct choice.

To me, this resembles the Megadrive/Genesis and 32X games that were completely unaltered between their USA and Europe (and sometimes Japan) releases, but had different box titles in those two regions. Both titles are included in the name, but separated by a ~ mark. Is this case different to those? Was the game not actually released in Australia?

Including different titles for several regions is not part of No-Intro naming convention, nor I support such a practice. We have (and apply) title priority rules. I.e. (USA, Europe) use (or should use) USA boxart title. This decision is based on usual release sequence/origin for (USA, Europe) games.

On this case, this is an "Asia" game without a explicit enough boxart (sadly), so following titlescreen is the next best pick. Using an English boxart (like AUS) is good practice, but this comes from an AUS distributor importing an unlicensed game and making a more consumer-friendly boxart for the shake of marketing. That not makes the new title more "official" to me than the titlescreen one.

I see. Is it planned to change the names of the games with the ~ in the file name to prioritize the "dominant" name on those as well? Alternatively, is there a special reason why names such as "Chaotix ~ Knuckles' Chaotix" exist that I'm still unaware of?

That kind of naming should be revised.
