I'm well aware that the name of the manga and anime franchise is often transliterated as "Yu Yu Hakusho" in foreign markets (I am a fan of Togashi's work). However, is "Yu Yu" what the Japanese text actually says?

The title:

幽☆遊☆白書
Yū Yū Hakusho

We should go by the Japanese title as it is and not what the foreign companies interpret it as, right? In that case, should not these games' names be reverted to "Yuu Yuu Hakusho" as they were before in keeping with No-Intro standards?

I did the naming change but I might be wrong.

I found out that the "Yu Yu Hakusho" series naming was inconsistent. Most of the Japanese titles were transcribed as"Yuu Yuu Hakusho" but others were as "Yu Yu Hakusho".

It needed to be harmonized, I might have chosen the wrong solution. I thought that the common use in the transcription of the series should supersede its strict interpretation. If I am wrong I would change back the titles and also change the Japanese ones which were inconsistent.

I agree that the harmonization needed to be done. That is good and I appreciate that. I believe, however, that No-Intro standard is to go with a strict translation on any words of Japanese origin. That is what I've observed previously. If I'm wrong, of course, then so be it. I'm for consistency above all else and am merely stating my case.
