Trawling and trolling are both methods of fishing. Trawling is a net dragged by a boat to catch lots of tiny fish. Trolling is lures/bait from rods dragged by a boat to catch bigger fish like marlin and tuna. Trolling can be done recreationally. This game is clearly doing "trolling".

Many sites that catalog this game's name, including the wikipedia entry, are thus wrong.
